Discerp is primarily a death metal band inspired by the sounds of Carcass, Bolt Thrower, Death, Nile, etc. We also have a black metal influence coming from such bands as Mayhem and Immortal to name just two. While these other bands have been a big part of our metal experience we still do our own thing, combining styles to make a hybrid, blackened death feel to the music.
